There is a tree behind a house in the country.
Every autumn it lets go of its leaves. It does not study the leaves before letting them fall. It does not weigh which ones served it best or which ones to keep for sentimental reasons. The leaves go. And in the going, the tree is not diminished. The tree is doing what trees do to stay alive.
Your body is doing this every minute.
Your lungs are letting go of carbon dioxide right now. Your skin is releasing what your blood does not need. Your kidneys, your liver, your lymph, every cell is in a constant act of elimination that you do not have to think about and could not stop if you tried.
This is the daily substance the message speaks of.
It is the layer that is so close to you that it disappears. The breath you do not count. The water that moves through you. The constant unglamorous quiet work of being a body in time. The tree behind the house does this work without ceremony. So do you.
And here is what is true.
The spiritual elimination of this month has been working through these same systems all along. The breath that releases what your blood does not need is the same breath that releases what your spirit does not need. The mechanisms are one. The body has been doing the spiritual work in the language it knows.
Trust it.
The hand that wants water this week. The legs that want to walk. The early bedtime that calls to you before you have planned it. These are not small things. The body is communicating with the spirit and the spirit is communicating with the body, and the parts of the system are talking the way they were always meant to talk.
That conversation is what keeps you alive.
It is also what keeps you clear. The work is happening. You do not have to manage it. You have to let it.
What is moving through you is moving through cleaner ground than it was a month ago. And you can feel that. Even if you cannot say how, you can feel it.
