A Little Pause Between Actions

Hi Reader

When learning to play music, one of the most valuable lessons is learning to honor the rests.

Those quiet moments give the music its rhythm… its shape… its feeling.

Our days have their own rhythm, too.

A conversation ends.
A task is complete.
The car comes to a stop.

And there is a little space before the next thing begins.

This week, our Divine Message invites us to claim “the space between our actions.”

A moment to let what has just happened settle… and become present for whatever comes next.

There is something beautiful about allowing one experience to feel complete before beginning another. A little room to breathe, to listen, and to choose the next action with love and intention.

So this week, let’s explore a simple practice:

One Bar of Rest.

After hanging up the phone, closing the laptop, or turning off the engine, pause for four gentle beats.

One… two… three… four.

Allow the hands to rest.
Let the breath move naturally.
Give the moment a little space.

Then choose what comes next… and begin with intention.

Four beats can offer a small, beautiful return to presence.

As the week unfolds, notice how these pauses feel. Perhaps a little more ease. A little more clarity. A deeper appreciation for the moment at hand.

The pause is part of the music.

And there is room for it in the rhythm of everyday life.

With love,
Jeff
